The Sprinter Sneakers from Maison Margiela reinterpret 1960s athletic footwear through exaggerated texture and distressed detailing. Designed with a low-top silhouette and sculpted proportions, the pair balances retro references with conceptual refinement. Crafted in Off-White, the tonal composition enhances the depth of the mixed-material construction.
Constructed from long-pile suede, goatskin, and calfskin leather, the upper is defined by a vintage-inspired finish with subtle smudging throughout. A lace-up closure and logo patch at the tongue reinforce the sneaker’s archival sportswear influence. The treaded rubber sole features engraved numbering with the circled 22, referencing Maison Margiela’s footwear collection. Inside, leather and canvas lining ensure structure and comfort, while the signature white stitch at the heel marks the design with the house’s unmistakable identity.
