The Le City Medium Bag from Balenciaga is crafted in Volcanic Rock Arena lambskin leather with a softly textured finish and a relaxed, structured silhouette. Originally introduced in the early 2000s, the Le City has become one of the house's most recognizable designs, defined by its distinctive hardware, elongated leather zip pulls, and hand-braided handles. Brass studs and buckles introduce industrial detailing, while the removable leather-framed mirror adds a signature element to the design.
The supple lambskin construction is complemented by a cotton canvas lining and functional interior compartments. Two hand-braided handles with waxed cord allow for handheld carrying, while a removable, adjustable shoulder strap with a padded section offers additional styling options. A double-ended zip closure secures the main compartment, complemented by a front zipped pocket and an interior zipped pocket. The combination of tactile leather, utilitarian hardware, and versatile proportions reflects Balenciaga's reinterpretation of an iconic everyday accessory.
