For instance, the "1992" collection pays homage to the year of the inaugural United Nations Congress on climate change. Also, the shoe 1968 stands for the hippie generation and the social movement of the '60s, the 1982 shoe for antinuclear protests and forming of green parties, and in 2005 the Kyoto Protocol was ratified.
