Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini is an Italian womenswear brand founded in Italy, and which offers ethereal feminine styles with a great amount of creativity. Originally, Philosophy was established by Alberta Ferretti, but since 2014, Lorenzo Serafini, who was a designer for the womenswear department of Roberto Cavalli, has been the brand’s creative director.

Inspired by Italy

Lorenzo uses his love for Italy to find inspiration for Philosophy’s collections. To Lorenzo, Italy means art, culture, history, creativity, and tradition, which can be traced in the brand’s many styles. Additionally, iconic Italian women, both present and past, are a great source of inspiration, as Lorenzo sees them as having helped to define the very idea of Italian elegance. The clothes from Philosophy are marked by their interesting color mix and unique prints and patterns, which generates a strong visual identity.
